Taden Homes was engaged to build 2 homes on this expansive Yokine block. We photographed the owners home to give you an insight into how we helped them achieve full city views in this cleverly designed reverse living home.

Using the downward slope of the block to our advantage we constructed the minor bedrooms to the rear of the home which gave privacy and limited noise from the road.

We worked closely with the architect and the client to create an eco friendly, energy efficient home that is style driven and functional catering to the clients every wish.

The finishes prove that style has driven the design from the exterior facade through to the wallpaper and stairwell pendant lights that create moments of wow. Both the Architect and client had strong visions of the mix of building materials which we were to use for construction; including the traditional use of a suspended concrete slab mixed with the newer construction methods of timber frames lined with Master Wall for the second story.

These panels are 75mm lightweight thermal insulated Polystyrene panels that have added significantly to the eco friendly nature of the home.
The clients also requested low E glass which means that less heat passes through the glass than standard float glass.

We find using new products in the market an exciting part of our construction process.

These 2 homes were a pleasure to build thanks to the amazing insight and communication from both the Architect and client.
